Personal Project – Prop Recreation

A fan recreation of the telescope from Riven. The Myst series was one of the reasons I got into environment art.

The only reference is pre-rendered 2D, so I built it out as a full 3D asset with PBR materials in Substance Painter. Getting the weathering and patina right mattered. Riven’s world feels lived-in and ancient, and that quality comes through in the surface work.
