Environment Art – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Modern Warfare 3 was Sledgehammer Games’ first shipped title, and I joined while the studio was still standing up. New team, new engine, new pipeline. I worked on several single-player campaign maps, owning half of the Dubai level and taking sections from blockout through final art.
Most of my time was spent in-engine with BSP and proprietary tools, learning the IW engine’s quirks alongside everyone else. I’d rough out layouts and environments in BSP, then carry them through modeling, texturing, and polish into finished urban combat spaces.
